Nick Jaksa, FounderNick has dedicated a lifetime of work to the discovery and development of safety products in a variety of important fields. He began his career in the automotive industry as a seat belt product engineer and has 34 years of combined product development, testing, production, and business development experience with major international companies including AlliedSignal / Honeywell, Siemens, Bosch, DiMora Motor, and ZhongXing Auto. He is the founder of Integrated Operations, an organization that helps companies introduce products to existing and new markets. Viral Defense is his latest venture.

Meet Our Team
We are thought leaders who have come together during the pandemic. As skilled experts, our team is dedicated to help fight deadly germs and viruses. In addition, our team includes support staff and advisors with related expertise in medical treatments and devices, some of whom have personally been exposed to and survived Covid-19 infections. The Viral Defense team from Integrated Operations includes a large support network to assist on a domestic and global basis, including USA, Canada, Vietnam, Brazil, France, and Germany.
Meet Our Medical Advisory Team
Dr. Monica Prasad Goldklang received her MD from University of Michigan in 2005 which was followed by a Residency in Internal Medicine in 2008 at the University of Michigan. It was followed with a Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Columbia University in 2008 to 2011. She was a post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Columbia Univ. from 2011 to 2013. Since 2014 she is an attending physician in New York Presbyterian Hospital, and since 2015 is currently Assistant Professor of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology, Columbia University.
Dr. Goldklang is a clinician-scientist, a Board Certified Pulmonary and Critical care physician with translational research experience in lung diseases. She is an active pulmonary and critical care physician with an outpatient practice in rare lung diseases and attending physician in both the medical and surgical intensive care units at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. Her research work has resulted in many peer-reviewed papers in Journals and continues to receive grants for research in her area of interest. |
Dr. Jeanine D’Armiento, MD, Ph.D. is among a rare group of medical researchers who have MD and Ph.D. She received her Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine in 1989 and MD in Medicine in 1992 from UMDNJ, Piscat, N.J.. Since the completion of her MD, Dr. D’Armiento has been in many leadership positions at the Columbia University and is the current Chair-person of the Columbia University Senate. She is also a Professor of Medicine, Director of the Center for Molecular Pulmonary Disease and Director of the Center for LAM and Rare Lung Diseases.
Over the years, Dr. D’Armiento has made many groundbreaking contributions to science, trained many Fellows in her department and mentored many Ph.D. students. She continues to receive research grants from many public and private foundation sources. |
Dr. Keith Kaye is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Department of Medicine at University of Michigan Medical School. He is the Director of Research for the Division of Infectious Diseases. He has devoted his career to the prevention and effective management of healthcare-associated infections. In addition to serving in a variety of quality improvement and administrative roles in infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, and quality and patient safety, he has served on national and international clinical guidelines committees.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kaye’s research interests include the development of antimicrobial resistance, particularly among gram-negative organisms; prevention of healthcare associated infections, management of hospital-acquired infections in the elderly, and innovative approaches to antimicrobial stewardship. Dr. Kaye received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. During fellowship, Dr. Kaye earned a Masters in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. |
Dr. Kevin Hanlon, DO, is an Orthopedic Surgery Specialist with more than 36 years of experience. He graduated from Michigan State University Medical School in 1977 and the University of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, IA in 1985. He has been in private practice since 1998 and currently owns the Center for Orthopedic Surgery in Clinton Township, MI. Dr. Hanlon is also affiliated with McLaren Macomb Hospital and currently is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Michigan State University. Dr. Hanlon also participates in the Michigan State University Student Mentor Program, working with third and fourth year medical students in Orthopedics.
